1.      Decorations

Classic colours of royal blue, yellow and gold are the colours of choice for the perfect Beauty and the Beast celebration.  Lots of red rose petals, candles, teapots, teacups, clocks and tulle bows scattered throughout any table will create a wonderful masterpiece for your occasion.

We found these great gold chairs for hire from Tiny Tots Toy Hire that will really set the scene.

Fill your party area with gold balloons tied with blue satin ribbons, crowns and tiaras for your little guests. If you’re feeling crafty why not make some red paper roses and some glitter cups to finish off.

3.      Cake

There are loads of options when it comes to cake for your Beauty and the Beast party. Use as your centerpiece on your party table to wow your little royal ones! Think Red Rose cupcakes, jeweled butter cream crowns; glittery tiaras that sparkle and castle slab cakes. We love this Belle inspired little yellow princess cake from Cake to the Rescue.

4.      Party Themes/Ideas:

Get the kids to dress in their favourite princess and prince costume with the birthday girl or boy dressed as the starring role of Belle or The Beast.

Let your guests meet your Birthday Prince/Princess at your local movie cinema for a special screening of the new Disney Beauty and Beast film or depending on your budget, why not consider hiring a Belle child entertainer for your birthday event. Here are a few Belle entertainers. Glass Slipper Entertainment, Unreal Kids Parties,  All in All Parties and Ever After Parties.

5.      Party Games/Activities

Continue with your Beauty and the Beast theme with some fun games and party activities.

  • Royal Dancing – how about a quick mini waltz lesson? Play all your favourite songs from Beauty and the Beast and get the kids to partner up to practice their new skills!
  • Pass the Rose – just like pass the parcel but with a rose.  Play music from the movie, once the music stops; the child with the rose removes one petal… the child with the last rose petal wins a themed prize. (Tip - Remove the thorns on the stem before the game commences!)
  • Find the Hidden Books – we all know Belle loves her books! Hide a little book (for every child) around your backyard and let them go on a book hunt. Once every child finds a book... it’s theirs to keep!
  • Create your own Beauty and the Beast Pamper Party or consider hiring Glamour Parties  for special rose petal foot soaks and total pampering!
